Options
This dialog box allows you to customize some program options. The options are divided into categories:
- UI Settings - general user interface (UI) options:
1) Noise Reduction - the UI options of the "Noise Reduction" operation;
2) Crop - the UI options of the "crop" operation.
- Actions - settings for specifying the program actions that will be applied by default to opened images.
- Performance - settings for program performance.
- Other - other program settings.
UI Settings
The following options are available on this tab:
- Show tips on startup - show the "Tip of the Day" dialog box when the program is started. Also, you can read the "Tip of the Day" without restarting the program via the menu: Help > Tip of the Day.
- Toolbar Buttons Text - show the button labels on the toolbar.
- Background Color - select the colors that will be used as a background for the image.
UI Settings > Noise Reduction
Noise reduction UI options:
Preview Area
- Size - specify the preview area size (in pixels);
- Border Color - select the colors that are used for the preview area borders;
- Show Border - specify the mode the preview area border will be displayed in:
1) only during movement - show the border only when you are moving the image;
2) never - never show the border;
3) always - always show the border.
UI Settings > Crop
The interface options for the crop and resize operations:
Cropped Area
- Opacity - specify (in percent) the opacity of the area being cropped;
- Show As Background - if you enable this option, the area being cropped is filled with the Background Color.
Actions
Actions applied to opened images:
- 'Auto' Exposure - automatic exposure compensation;
- 'Auto' Brightness / Contrast - automatic brightness and contrast adjustment.
- Apply only to RAW image files - if this option is selected, the actions will be applied only to images in RAW formats.
Performance
You can adjust the program performance using two options:
- Multiprocessing - allows you to define a number of "threads" used by the program. The 'Auto' value sets the recommended number of threads;
- GPU hardware acceleration - allows the program to use your graphics card as a "co-processor" for processing images. It's available only for graphics cards supported NVIDIA CUDA / ATI Stream technology.
Other
All other program settings:
- File Name Suffix - specify the suffix for generating the default name for the file being saved.
